The totem pole is still under construction that is just the top portion of the pole the rest is still in the works
Tiki idols I did as a prop for the senior prom……I put lights in the eyes sometimes at night

i had to incorporate tools of the trade that grade school kids would use
and some cute animals
for the lettering i had a friend of mine do a sketch of form me and i carved it in 3/d raised lettering

Needle felting led me to experiment more with other textiles . I discovered that recycling materials from old clothes and sweaters you could make wonderful rugs .
standing wool rugs are particularly interesting……rugs have practical uses with a creative twist ….I also started doing a combination appliqué and braided rugs it's a nice relaxing work
I have done handmade tiles for a kitchen backsplash and an African terra-cotta wall hangings
Papier-mâché is one of the favorite things I like to do. I like to do large scale work like a life-size papier-mâché pirate with his papier machine cannon….
I also like to do Halloween jack-o'-lanternssome of them kind of fun some other kind of creepy
HERE ARE SOME OF OF THE VARIOUS 2D SEWN PEICES I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST
AND OVER A LIFE TIME I HAVE DONE SOME 3D STITCHED AND SEWN CRITTERS AS WELL
I like taking Old and discarded pieces of furniture and turning them into something new …..sometimes it's just simply painting them and other times it's covering them with aluminum cans and bottle caps …..someday I want to cover one in mosaics for example a mosaic chair
my work doing ceramics let me to mosaics.I love mosaics and I intend to do more in the future …..I love making my own Tiles’ combining them with commercial bought did Vitrous glass and I intend to do more experimenting in the future combining different mediums busted tile’s, Glass, shells, and stones you name it
I titled this gallery retro ……well it's tough to say what retro really means but I kind a classified the stuff I did here and some more older traditional stuff that I did as retro …….some of it may have a slight 50s twist or storybook look …..well I titled it retro but it's just another style I do
